2012 Cherokee County Christmas Parade

Congratulations to Charles Brumbeloe for winning 1st Place .  He  built this sleigh and wagon in his shop at home.

The  2012 Cherokee County Christmas Parade, sponsored by The Spirit of Cherokee, was a huge success.  There were over 100 entries.   Everything from floats, beauty queens, motor cycles, antique tractors and cars and Santa high atop the Centre Fire truck  lined main street in Centre on Saturday, Dec 1.    Rev John Mullaney, 1st United Methodist Church of Centre, opened the parade with prayer.  He was joined on the review stand by his wife, Denise, and daughters, Maggie and Lucie.   Jerry Baker and Shelia Richardson emceed the parade.   As always, they did a wonderful job.   The Cherokee County Rescue Squad helped with line up and security.   The City of Centre blocked off streets and cleaned up the City  after all the festivities.
